What to Expect

Few white wines have achieved the fame that Riesling has in Germany. Its ability to produce a wide range of styles, from bone dry to lusciously sweet, in an even wider range of climates has made it the grape of Germany. Riesling in Germany can range from the steely, piercing wines of the Saar to the round, opulent peachy wines one typically finds in the Nahe and the Pfaltz. Every region is capable of producing both dry and sweet versions though there is a movement towards drier wines that has taken hold throughout many regions.

Redolent of nectarine, chalk and pineapple, this smells quite sweet yet in the mouth one finds superb acidity that enlivens the palate and adds length to the brilliant mineral, green apple and blood orange flavors. Still very young this has tremendous potential.92pts
