This pretty Aglianico from the up-and-coming Irpinia subzone of southern Italy delivers tightly etched tannins that are backed by soft layers of black fruit and leather. It successfully highlights the grape’s natural characteristics.

Volcanic soil, as uniquely expressed by the ancient Aglianco grape, is responsible for the deep ruby color and the intensity of aromas of Marasca cherry, berry, spice, and iron. The warm, elegant palate is fully dry, with concentrated cherry fruit flavors that turn sweet as they mingle with smoke and vanilla barrel character. Tremendous value.

Deep ruby red color; intense nose of Marasca cherry, berries, spicy notes. The warm, elegant palate is fully dry with concentrated cherry fruit around a core of structured tannins. Long length and finish.

Smells of the mountain, featuring aromas of pine, wildflower and stone that give way to ripe wild berry notes and firm tannins. Structured, with a minerally aftertaste. Drink now through 2016.
