A firm, dry version, dense with cherry, blackberry, tobacco and mineral aromas and flavors. Precise and vibrant, this cruises through the long aftertaste with complex fruit and spice notes. Deep scarlet core with a bright ruby rim. On the nose, very traditional notes of red cherry, plum, leather, and grilled meat, with floral nuances. Winemaker's Notes:

This wine comes from four small vineyards of 18 hectares which surround a stone building built in the 16th century, Casato “Prime Donne.” Here the Brunello ages for at least two years in oak barrels and barriques. Over the barrels are frescoes showing the history of Montalcino.
