Add your reviewWinemaker's Notes:
Variety: 100% Malbec Origin: Alto Ugarteche, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. Comments of the enologist: Red deep color of intense violets. Of great complex bouquet, with a combination of red fruits (plums, cherries, ripe figs) with chocolate and vanilla. At taste it is concentrated, powerful, and of great tannic sweetness. The variety character appears both in the color and in the bouquet and flavor, it being, therefore, a wine of great personality. Keeping potential: 5 to 6 years. Climate: Mild, hot, partially dry. The annual average of rains read more... does not normally exceed 200 mm. During the whole vegetative cycle the climate is dry and the rains normally start in January and February which are the hottest months of the year. It being to an average height of 1000 meters above sea level, the nights are very cool so the thermal extent between day and night can be of about 15 ºC. Soft and permanent winds in the region, guarantee a very good health for the fruit. Soil: Of alluvium origin, it is a typical water flow of average depth, with a clayish texture with sectors of rolled edges of different magnitudes and basic ph. Ageing potential: 4 to 5 years. Technical details: Alcohol content : 14,5 % vol. Total Acidity : 6,15 g/l (tartaric acid) pH : 3.4 Sugar : 2,11 g/l Wine and Food: Serve this wine with Filet Mignon, roast prime rib, roast duck, rabbit, lamb cutlets, meatballs, ratatouille, kebab, rich pasta dishes.
