RECOMMENDED - Decanter World Wine Awards 2010 At Dona Paula the vineyards have been managed using Sustainable Agriculture practices.The grapes for this white wine come from 44 acres planted between 2000 and in the Finca Los Cerezos Estate in Tupungato, Argentina with some very well reputed French clones, grafted on three different rootstocks. This wine is produced in stainless steel tanks with cooling jackets and without contact with oak. Fermentation temperature ranges from 12 to 14°C. 85% of the wine in the stainless steel tanks has been in contact with the lees for 2 months at 10°C. Grapes : 100% Estate grown Chardonnay Region : Argentina / Mendoza / Ugarteche Maker : David Bonomi Notes : Our Dona Paula Estate Chardonnay is an eye-catching Golden Yellow colour It's mineral characters and tropical fruits aswell as pear and citrus notes make it complex and fresh on the palate. ABV : 14%
This chardonnay shows a delicate greenish-yellow color with golden highlights. On the nose, it is ripe, rich, expressive and displays aromas of pears, peaches, apricots and citric fruits, which are integrated with the seductive mineral notes, spices, and toasted flavors that come from perfectly integrated oak. It is harmonious on the palate with an interesting structure and a long lingering finish.
