Food Pairings for Don Sebastiani & Sons Smoking Loon Merlot
Light and cool, tasted of a maritime climate, breeze-swayed boughs of cedar and pine. Blueberries. Through unusual clear bottle could see it was nearly opaque in color, almost bluish. Thin mouthfeel, simple in character but satisfying and refreshing. A cheap wine, I converted it into a homemade port, infused some raisins and raw honey in it for a day or so. Still had that cool ocean quality that prevented it from tasting too rich. In this state, paired fantastically with a bowl of pipe tobacco.
