Don Luciano Cabernet Sauvignon la Mancha Spain 2005
Re: the 2008. I'm immediately in love with this wine. I'm a casual wine lover so I'm comparing it with more expensive Cabs. This one has a nice BIG WOW flavor that I really love and not too dry. I plan on buying more of it to stock over the winter.Add winemaker's notes
Don Luciano is a brand offshoot of J. Garciá-Carrión wines, produced in the Spanish provinces of La Mancha and Valdpeñas. The wines are produced using traditional local grapes such as Airén, Tempranillo (there called Cencibel) and Garnacha, as well as international varieties. The wines are available in blended and single varietal styles of white, red and rosado.

I like this wine but am unable to find it in the northeast U.S.
2008-Much too dry for my palate. Strong alcohol-y bouquet overwhelmed the fruit essence. Tolerable and a bit more balanced with a soft mild cheese. I was a bit surprised considering Spanish wines tend to be smoother. But hey it's under $4 So you get what you pay for. http://www.associatedcontent.comarticle2549093wine_review_don_luciano_la_mancha_cabernet.html?cat=22
