Don Guerino Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

50 % in second and third passage French and American oak for six months This smells like a handful of herbs, roots attached with soil dripping from them being beaten with a handful of berries and flowers, there's a rawness to these wines, ivy, iron rich greens and black currant fruit, bright, fine open k it feel on the palate, this too has real purity, clean, fresh, black currant mixed with a touch of black raspberry. Firm little finish, very clean, a touch short perhaps, but this absolutely snaps on the palate, elegantly austere 89pts
