At 2000 plus feet and on a Northeast slope, the Fort Miller vineyard in Talent, Oregon is a gem for Tempranillo. These soils limit potassium uptake due to their ultra mafic (high Magnesium) qualities and soap stone appearance. Tempranillo tends to hoard potassium sending the pH through the roof. Thus a perfect soil / grape match.
