Dominio del Plata Torrontés Cafayate Valley Crios de Susana Balbo 2006
A bit too alcoholic for my tastes. Strawberry flavors on the attack that are soon crushed by the bite.
as far as whites go this is up there. nice apple scent and flavor. went great with spicy chinese food.
Deep rose color, almost strawberry. Flinty nose with cherry and strawberry notes. Soft attack, cherries and some earthiness. Heavy tannins for a rose - nice sustained finish as a result. A bit of an alcohol imbalance. But nice for the price.
Not a bad drinker, but there are better-tasting roses in this price range, to be sure. Definitely pair this with food (preferably spicy!), otherwise, you will be bored with this wine.
Dynamite -- bright fruit with hints of apple. Very fragrant nose.
Menos fragrante que o de 2004, mas com maior acidez e frescor
First rose I ever had. Paired with Indian food. A very nice balance between reds and whites.

This rosé is deep cherry in color and made from the Malbec grape variety that's lately been thriving in Argentina's Mendoza region. Ripe, soft, and full of dark berry fruit on the palate - black cherries and red currants - this is very easy to drink. Susana Balbo and her husband have been making wine for over 25 years in Argentina and they've managed to produce a vast number of solid wines that are well worth a try.
