Lots of orange peel; not bone dry but not cloyingly sweet, either; medium acidity. More "buttery" and less "toasty" than I'm used to from American Pinot Gris. Ok, but I think I prefer the drier Alsace wines.

With classic Gewrztraminer flavors of litchi, rose and spice, this wine also retains a sense of grace in the hot '03 vintage. Well-balanced and silky, with a moderate finish. Drink now.(WS)

Domaine Schlumberger Gewurztraminer Fleur /05 Lush, juicy, full-bodied Gewurztraminer. Fills the mouth with the ripe fruit characterisitic of 2003. An ideal wine for cheese, sausages, pork and spicy foods.
