Domaine Zind Humbrecht Alsace ' Pinot Blanc 2011
We really have no doubt about bottling this wine so early. It developed into an elegant delicate style, with classic light fruity nose and some yeast/nutty character. The palate is dry, without any aggressiveness, and medium long. This is a very easy wine to use on an everyday basis.

Alsace Zind Humbrecht is a legendary Domaine in the Alsace region of France, led by innovative winemake and Master of Wine, Olivier Humbrecht. They produce outstanding bottlings of the most iconic Alsace grapes including many Grand Cru. But even they’re everyday offerings like this Pinot Blanc they able to raise to another level of sophistication and quality. The International Wine Cellar said about this wine “Bright, pale straw. Beeswax and white flowers on the nose. Nicely concentrated and balanced on the palate, with notes of honey, butter and spices complicating the ripe stone fruits. Finishes clean and persistent. You can tell there's quite a bit of Auxerrois here due to the wine's spicy, rich character. The grapes are a 50/50 blend of Rotenberg and Herrenweg fruit; most of the Pinot Blanc comes from the Herrenweg, which ripens a bit quicker, while Rotenberg provides the Auxerrois.” And Wine Enthusiast Magazine said “This is rich and concentrated, spice as well as pear and melon flavors. It is complex, with almond and nutmeg notes, balanced by the taut acidity that completes a full, ripe wine.”
