Loads of botrytis here. Butterscotch, candied citrus and almond flavors never get plodding, and it never gets heavy, despite the richness and concentration. Full-bodied, with good structure and a clean finish. Drink now through 2008. 100 cases import... Wine Spectator. A Gewurztraminer wine from Alsace in France. 2000 Weinbach, Domaine Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Furstentum Vendange Tardive 750ml
The Late Harvest represent another expression of our beautiful soils, magnified by overmaturity and Botrytis. They are exceptional wines, remarkable because of their great aromatical complexity, of their rare concentration and their perfect balance. The Late Harvest (Vendanges Tardives) can be appreciated on their own. A foie gras is superb with a Tokay Pinot Gris or a Gewurztraminer Late Harvest. A Gewurztraminer would also be wonderful with strong and fat cheeses.
