Domaine Trouvére Tempranillo Umpqua Valley 2007
Domaine Trouvere, a new project from veteran wine producers Don and Wendy Lange, provides an opportunity to focus on very small lots of vineyard specific, terroir-driven wines. For nearly a quarter of a century, the Langes have worked in the Oregon wine industry, living on their vineyard and winery site in the Dundee Hills, while producing some of Oregon's best-known wines. During this time, they have forged long and fruitful relationships with many premier winegrowers, sharing in their dedication and enthusiasm for producing the finest grapes. Long before sustainability became a buzzword, the Langes committed themselves to low impact farming practices. A gentle touch in the vineyard translates to a light hand in the cellar. The Langes' winemaking style is old world, with great attention to detail. All wines are fermented in small lots and meticulously tended to. No pyrotechnics, dry ice or machines to boil away near fatal winemaking mistakes. Just the steady, seasoned hand of experienced winemaking, gently crafting the best wines from the best sites, year in and year out.
