Domaine Tempier Bandol Cuvée Spéciale 1993

Member Review by vintagesf:

This is not a single vineyard, but it is, I think, still 100% Mourvèdre from Province, and the most approachable wine from this famous winery. After decanting and letting it breathe for about 3 hours, the predominant nose was coffee and wet leather with dark cherry undertones. The flavors were similar, and very concentrated cherries were distinct initially, with the coffee pushing through at the end. The finish was not long, but was very pleasant. This, our last bottle, complimented the Pasta con La Sarde quite well.
