Domaine Talmard Macon-Chardonnay 2017

Member Review by ChrisCaughman:

my new house white - pale lemon color; nose of lemon-lime citrus, minerals, flint and subtle toasty oak; well balanced and vibrant on the palate -- nothing too fancy, but really good for 10 bucks

pale lemon color; unexpectedly funky nose gives way to a bright nose of lemon, pear, green apple and a touch of oak; medium bodied, well balanced with lots of minerals on the palate and a nice finish -- my go-to, cheap-but-you'd-never-know-it white at whole foods ($11.99)

Crisp and clean, this unoaked 100% Chardonnay from the Mâcon region of Burgundy evokes fresh red apple and cantaloupe flavors. Great with sushi, grilled chicken and salads.

This ripe white bursts with apple, peach and grapefruit flavors, shaded by a stone element. A bright, fresh wine, lingering on the finish. Drink now.

The Mâconnais district lies in the south of Burgundy. This wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks only. It is notable for its freshness, purity of Chardonnay fruit and consistency. Bright flavors of lemon zest and Granny Smith apples are combined with crisp acidity. Serve with pan-seared scallops over couscous.
