This has plenty of dried beef, melon and pomegranate flavors that make for an exotic tasting rosé. Spicy finish. Agiorgitiko and Moscofilero. Drink now. 5,000 cases made.

The 2013 Zoe Rose is a blend of 70% Agiorgitiko and 30% Moschofilero, coming in at 12.5% alcohol. This is always fun in its exuberant youth, the type of pink that should be drunk nicely chilled and as fresh as possible. Crisp and lively, it has an energetic feel to go with its fruity demeanor, fine aromatics and clean, very tasty, red fruit flavors. It seems particularly nice this year. Drink now.

After tasting the 2012 vintage, I was instantly taken by this Greek rosé , and very anxious to try the 2013. Using the same composition as last year, a blend of 70% Agiorgitiko and 30% Moschofilero, it did not disappoint! Vivid pink, with inviting aromas of crushed Bing cherries and ripe wild raspberries that follow through on the palate. The racy and zippy acidity finishes it up quite nicely, and there is a beautiful minerality that hangs on. Try it with grilled pizza topped with goat cheese, prosciutto and fresh thyme.
