Wines from the Assyrtiko grape are typically unoaked. Domaine Sigalas hasmastered the "recipe" for oak treatment and this has been one of the winery'smost acclaimed strengths. The wine is fermented in oak barrels, followed by afew months yeast contact. The colour is golden with a stroke of green. On thepalate, intense citrus flavour, framed by a descreet oak presence that impartsa note of honeyed character to the wine. An elegant, polished, dry white withlengthy finish. Ideal companion for grilled and smoked fish, white meat, whitespicy sauces and smoked cheese.
