Domaine Serge Laloue Sancerre Loire 2013

Winemaker's Notes:

"This domaine was created in the early 1930's by Francois and Simone Laloue. In addition to grapes, they grew grain and tobacco and raised livestock. In 1960, their son Serge took charge of the small plots of vines and concentrated on viticulture and winemaking. Today the domaine measures 20 hectares spread over all three of Sancerre's terroirs: Terre blanche, Caillotes, and Silex. The domaine is currently being run by Serge's children, Franck, the winemaker since 1990, and Christine." -Importer

This wine comes to you from a family estate of 20 hectares located 5km south of the hilltop town of Sancerre. The vineyard exposure and soils are ideal. The Laloue's focus is always on superior quality and sustainable agriculture. Intense bouquet with lovely complexity with citrus notes opening up to floral scents and a hint of rhubarb. Full flavoured and classically styled Sancerre with fresh minerality and spice sustained through to the long finish. - Winery
