Domaine Serene Rockblock Seven Hills Vineyard Syrah 2000

Winemaker's Notes:

Enticing aromas of violets, cedar, fresh earth, black raspberry, Bing cherry, vanilla, pipe tobacco, red currant, slight spearmint and toast. The palate displays layers of intense sweet cherry, raspberry, slight leather, spicy oak, cassis and cloves with fine grained tannins on the persistent yet plumy finish.

Of the 150 acres under vine, 95% of the grapes are planted to Pinot Noir, and the remaining land is planted to Chardonnay. In 2011, Erik Kramer took up the reins as winemaker to ensure that their legacy of extremely well-received wines lasts for years to come. Read less
