Rating: 86/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the October 2010 issue. When allowed a few moments of air, this firm, comparatively tight wine rids itself of a bit of earthiness in the nose and displays a nice note of mineral-tinged red-cherry fruit in its place. Solid and structured and just a touch tough in the mouth, it is not now nor will it be a juicy and opulent wine, but it shows ample fruit and hints that, with age, elegance just might be in the works.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Further bottle aging can improve this wine.

The dark ruby-colored 2007 Pinot Noir Yamhill Cuvée offers up a superb bouquet of smoke, cinnamon, rose petal, cherry, and cranberry. Spicy, expressive, and medium-bodied on the palate, it displays a racy personality marked by savory flavor, vibrant acidity, good depth, and enough structure to evolve for 1-2 years. Drink this tasty effort through 2017.

Bright and lively, graceful, with a nicely focused mouthful of raspberry, cream and cinnamon flavors that fly smoothly over a bed of snappy tannins. Drink now through 2014.

The Yamhill Cuvée is a blend of Pommard, Dijon and Wadenswil clones of Pinot Noir sourced primarily from estate vineyards in the Eola Hills and the Dundee Hills. It shows spicy red fruit notes with sweet, brambly raspberries on the palate.

The entry level 2006 Pinot Noir Yamhill Cuvee delivers an expressive nose of rose petal, red cherry and raspberry that leaps from the glass. This leads to a velvety-textured, medium-bodied Pinot with ample sweet fruit, good depth, and a fruit-filled finish. It lacks only complexity. Drink this pleasurable wine over the next 4ndash;5 years.
