Roussillon, with the Pyrenees firmly in its sights, is Grenache country parexcellence ; the variety dominates the wine with its intense almost headyaromatics, with notes of prune, dried fruit, black cherry and undergrowth tothe fore. The palate is unsurprisingly rich; powerful and peppery this winewill be the perfect match for venison, wild boar or hearty casseroles.
