Domaine Robert Sirugue Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru les Petits Monts 2008
Peppery on the nose. Smooth, not too strong tannins. Tasty!
beautiful red fruit aromas with a balanced palate of light berry fruits, bit of sour cherry and black seeping tea leaves. sophisticated and just really lovely!
Some funk on the nose mixed with strawberry, raspberry and cherry. Wood spice. A zing of something I can't put my finger on. Orange zest perhaps? It has a zippy acid profile and nice spice. Fresh red berry fruit on the palate. Raspberry, strawberry and a slight cola influence. Some Asian spice. Light tobacco leaf. It's very dry and had fairly good tannic grip. The finish is dry and somewhat bitter. Overall, tasty wine! 91 pts. 6/5/12
Extremely well balanced with ripe red fruits and a bit of herbs on the finish.
