Decidedly oaky at first with sweet backing spices and chocolate framing plump, chunky fruit and deep earth tones. Soft in the mouth with toughish tannins supporting excellent dark fruit notes though the bitter, drying tannins keep this a bit short and clumsy. Very middle of the road style 88pts

User Reviews for Domaine Robert Chevillon Nuits St. Georges les Chaignots Premiere Cru

Winemaker's Notes:

"Deeper register aromas of earthy but spicy dark berry fruits and a touch of animale leads to serious, dense and relatively powerful flavors that culminate in a dusty, mouth coating and admirably persistent finish. This doesn't have the style of the Bousselots but it's appealing in its way. It's interesting how these two vineyards, which abut one another, give completely different results."*-- burghound.com**only 1 bottle remains*
