10 more years. One of the grand domaines of St. Emilion, on the Southwest plateau of the village, just next to Cahteau Pavie. Merlot, Cabernet blend vineyards benefit from exceptional exposition and drainage. Powerful, structured with earthy tannins giving off aromas of truffles and ripe plums. Traditional hand harvesting, fermentation in stainless steel and maturation in barrique 75% new. Perfume of truffles and plums mix with pleasurably velvet in the mouth. Flavors of dark berry note verging on raisiny. Chewy tannins cut through the alcohol. A substantial wine, at an excellent point in its maturity and can continue in the cellar for 10 more years.

Very good saturated ruby-red. Very ripe aromas of black cherry, chocolate and licorice; more crystallized than cooked fruit-as the heat in 95 was not quite like that of 1990, according to Valette. Velvety and chocolatey in the mouth, with very sweet... Stephen Tanzers IWC. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 1995 Troplong-Mondot 750ml

Winemaker's Notes:

Since the mid-80s when Christine Valette took more control of this château the
quality level has soared. The 1995 possesses high levels of ripeness, tannin
and concentration making it perfect for long-term cellaring. It exhibits toasty
oak, black berries and liquorice, although it is a little closed still. Drinking
2003-2015
