In contrast to some of the incredibly long-lived whites they fashion Jean-Claude openly concedes that they intend for their reds to drink well young, emphasizing purity of fruit and expressly designed to give pleasure early. (bottled in January). There is a subtle trace of wood spice that complements the full-blown, very pungent nose and large scaled flavors that offer both solid weight and intensity. This is a big wine with a very long finish. If it can add additional complexity with bottle age, my score will be conservative.
