A Chardonnay wine from Burgundy in France. 2005 Domaine Ramonet Bienvenues Batard Montrachet 750ml

Winemaker's Notes:

A fantastic nose of spice, wood toast, brioche, white flower, honeysuckle andcitrus hints lead to rich, full, big and sappy flavors that really coat themouth on the broad and palate staining finish. This is a bigBienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet and while perhaps not as graceful as the2000 or 2002, this is certainly stylish and deep. Like many of Ramonet's wines,it is also relatively forward by the usual standards of this wine yet it willcertainly reward mid-term cellaring. (93/100 points - Allen Meadows, Burghound.com - Oct 07)
