Domaine Ponsot le Chambertin Grand Cru 2004
92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): (from a .90 ha parcel). An expressive and relatively high-toned red berry fruit nose mixed with underbrush, earth, iron and subtle spice notes introduces very rich, sweet, intense and sappy flavors that deliver impressive volume and a particularly seductive mouth feel as there is a velvety quality to the beautifully long and balanced finish. This will require at least a decade to realize the excellent potential. Drink: 2014+. (Jan 2007)
Domaine Ponsot wines are traditional wines and our production methods stay away from modern trends. This is a conscious choice we have made, rather than something that stems from an occult belief in what is known today as 'non-interventionism'.
