Complex and balanced. Excellent, well-defined fruit, beautifully projected by the marvellous acidity. Drink 5-12 years.

Laurent Pinson describes 2002 as a great millésime with power, balance and harmony. Harvest conditions were ideal with absolutely no rot, yields that ranged between 40 and 58 hl/ha and sugars that came in between 11.8 and 13%. When I asked Pinson what he thought of the comparative quality of 2002, I was somewhat surprised to hear that he rates 2002 above 2000, which is saying something given how strong the Pinson 2000's are. In fact, Pinson compared 2002 to 1990. The 2002s will be bottled in September. Other wines tasted: 1996 Mont de Milieu - 89/now to 2008; 1990 Mont de Milieu - 92/now to 2006. read more...
