Dark red. Perfumed and smoky, with assertive red berry and cherry jam aromas and notes of dried rose and garrigue. Fresh and lively on the palate, showing a precise set of berry and floral flavors that are bright and sappy. Finishes brisk and racy.

Tartness as well as fresh cherry and strawberry notes are found in the 2004 Chateauneuf du Pape Tradition. Medium ruby in color with spicy earthiness, good, fresh, lively berry and cherry fruit, hints of saddle leather and resiny notes along with some herbes de Provence, this is a medium-bodied, elegant, Burgundian-styled Chateauneuf du Pape made from a blend of 85% Grenache and the rest Syrah, Mourvedre, and Cinsault aged completely in tank and old foudres.

Deep red. Fresh strawberry and cherry on the nose, with intense fresh herb tones. Fleshy and sweet, with bright red fruit flavors framed by silky tannins. Picks up an interesting mineral character with air, and finishes with excellent verve and precision. For a ldquo;basicrdquo; wine, this is outstanding.
