Domaine Pierre Usseglio Côtes du Rhône 2003
"Red Wine Rhone Blends by Dom. Pierre Usseglio from Chateauneuf-du-Pape, France. Very sharp acidic attack which gives the wine a real spritz. There's some volatile acidity there, and I actually had this in a restaurant where another table had sent the wine back (it was fine, but I believe the acids threw them off). Supple and soft leather tones with gentle cherry flavors. Searing acidity throughout, with nice high top notes of lilac and roses. Sharp finish. Really needs to be paired with food.
