was early on, when I saw my vineyards in Santenay the morning after the storm, I said that we'll never make anything any good from this fruit. Yet with careful sorting, I think the Gravire is actually pretty respectable. I have to agree with Colin that his Gravire is not only respectable but actually good enough to recommend as is the Bourgogne. Except for the Bourgogne, the reds were bottled in December. (Kermit Lynch, Berkeley, CA and Diageo Château and Estate Wines, New York, NY; Richards Walford, Berry Brothers & Rudd, Bibendum, Lay & Wheeler and Berkmann Wine Cellars, all UK). A very ripe nose features rosemary, herb and peach aromas that complement perfectly the rich, full and nicely detailed flavors that display good power on the very generous finish that also evidences a trace of warmth. While this is delicious and seductive at present, I fear that this may turn heavy with age and thus I would be inclined to drink it a bit earlier than most of the wines in the range.
