Expect honey suckle, apricot and tropical fruits with floral notes in this aromatic, lean, crisp wine with balanced acidity. Pairs with sea bass or swordfish (the acid balances the fat in these fish). Consider this a great "hanging out by the pool" sipping wine.

This wine is very bright and effusive. There is a lot of crisp acidity. The bouquet is floral and citrusy. The wine has "grip" on the tongue. The finish is a bit "sauvage". It is a good wine, and is fun, but it does not complement food well. (In this resect it reminds me of torrontes.) Enjoy as an aperitif or a beverage for a sophisticated party.

It's not surprising that a collaboration between Jean-Marc Lafage and Eric Solomon would produce a wine this enjoyable. The two also produce the wonderful Las Rocas Garnacha. A blend of 50% old vine Grenache Blanc & Gris / 30% Chardonnay / 20% Marsanne, all from Roussillon in French Catalan, the '08 côté EST is crisp, juicy & minerally with abundant ripe peach, apricot & honey flavors. Vibrant, rich on the palate and highly aromatic with citrus and white flowers. Finishes clean and dry. Amazing value.

Winemaker's Notes:

Super crisp and tank-fermented, this racy white is bursting with citrus, white flowers and minerals. Juicy on the palate, dry but ripe with good apricot and yellow peach fruit character.
