Food Pairings for Domaine Michel Juillot Mercurey Clos des Barraults Premiere Cru
On the Nose: Good peach, citrus and floral aromas.Taste: Good acidity, good weight, harmonious overall. Peach, pear, lime, with a dash of vanilla cream (minimal oak though).Pairing: I paired it with a simple halibut dish, which in retrospect the wine pretty much demolished. There was enough oomph and acidity to the wine, to try some bolder flavors. Overall: Not a bad white burgundy. I really enjoyed it. The balance, acidity and pleasant aromas and taste, did it for me.
