Philippe Dufouleur was called away to Paris but his assistant told me that they began the harvest on August 22nd, bringing in between 40and 50% less crop with sugars that were in the 13 to 14.5% range. The grapes were given 4 days of cool maceration and 18 days of total cuvaison. The mise is presently scheduled for March. You will notice a certain consistency in the ranges, save for the Cent Vignes and this is because the other four cuvées were characterized by very high, indeed intrusive, toast characters.
