Domaine les Pallieres Gigondas 2004

Member Review by cookypuss1:

Delicious! Les Pallieres proves that it's one of the Rhone's best with this lovely Gigondas. 80% Grenache, 5% Syrah, 5% Cinsault, and 5% "other". It was really tight out of the bottle, but opened up nicely of the course of an hour into a lovely refined wine. Silky tannins and a long, pleasant finish made this a joy to drink.

A Gigondas based mostly on Grenache and Shiraz. This is full of character and drinking well today with aromas of licorice, dark berries, plums and plenty of chalky tannins. Plenty of depth that can be enjoyed immediately or in a few years.
