User Reviews for Domaine les Bruyères 'Aux Betises' Crozes Blanc

Winemaker's Notes:

Domaine Les Bruyères is situated in the village of Beaumont-Monteux to the west of Tain L’Hermitage. Until 2002 David Reynaud sold the fruit from his 17 hectares of vines to the local co-operative, Cave de Tain L’Hermitage. He had always made a small quantity of wine for friends so a new winery allowing movement of grapes and wine by gravity was constructed in time for the 2003 vintage and David has now converted his vineyards to biodynamic viticulture. David is producing some of the best wines in the extensive Crozes-Hermitage appellation. This 'Aux Betises' Crozes Blanc 2009 exhibits loads of melon and honeysuckle flavors with some citrus notes of lemon and lime zest. This medium-bodied and ripe wine has a silky, long finish with excellent acidity.
