While the Rhône Valley is best known for its reds, this wine is proof that the whites are just as interesting! A blend of Grenache Blanc, Rousanne, and Viognier, this rich wine yields sweet lime citrus and bold acidity. Pair with a knob of creamy chèvre.

Nice melon and citrus notes up front, followed by crisp acidity and a minerally finish. Drink now.

The 2005 Lirac white wine from Lafond shows plenty of honeysuckle and other assorted flowers. Floral notes intermix with a bit of peach and apricot. The wine is medium-bodied, has good texture, freshness, and a lively mouthfeel. It should drink nicely for another 1andndash;2 years.
