Deep ruby core with a thin pinkish rim. Youthful nose with a prncd aromas of blackberry, farmyard, ash, roast beef and hay. Dry, medium amount of ripe tannins. High alcohol. Full body. Prncd intensity of blackberry, bitter chocolate, dark cherry and thyme. Medium length with a slightly vegetal finish. A wine of the dark elements, but more Sisters of Mercy than Joy Division. Although still a bit vegetal, there is no austerity. In a few years this may turn into quite a lush wine due to its rich fruit character. Drink now until 2015.
Lovely nose of dried red cherries, earth, cedar which translates nicely on the palate which finishes off with medium acidity and notable tannins. Can age for years to come! Mourvèdre (55 %), Grenache (20 %), and Cinsault (15 %) and from Carignan (10 %)
