Domaine la Millière Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes 2006
"Impressively complex bouquet displays dried red berries, kirsch, olive, tobacco and smoky minerals. Gently sweet, with silky texture and light-bodied but potent red berry and bitter cherry flavors. Gains weight with air and finishes with excellent clarity, cling and persistence...91." IWC 1/09
Close by the ancient city of Orange, Domaine La Millière is located in the northern part of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation in Cabrières. Nestled amidst unspoilt nature where the vine is queen, La Millière is home to the fifth generation of a family in which the profession of winegrower has been passed down from father to son.
Easy to drink during week of thesis writing. Spent months searching for it.

This full-bodied red wine comes from the southern Rhône, and it happens to be a superlative value in traditional Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
