Domaine la Manarine Cotes du Rhone Villages Plan de Dieu les Terres Saintes 2013

Winemaker's Notes:

The Manarine estate is in the village of Travaillan with vineyards situated on a splendid plateau northeast of Orange known as 'Le Plan de Dieu'. As is the case with regular cuvee of Cotes du Rhone from Manarine, the Terres Saintes' is composed entirely of Grenache Noir but, in this case, drawn entirely from the oldest parcels of this domaine. The 2013 has both depth & balance with aromatic notes of crushed pepper & berries on the plate with red berry flavors predominant. At 14.5% alcohol, the 'Terres Saintes' is round & dense, a tour de force for this apparently modest appellation. About 4800 bottles are sent to the US market.
