Domaine Joseph Roty Marsannay Rouge les Ouzeloy 2011

Member Review by thewinegal:

I like this low tannin Pinot Noir - the nose & the palate were full of jammy, red fruit, with a hint of wood...maybe pine. Paired with the following: 1. White Bean puree – nice balance between the two 2. Smoked Salmon – not a good combination. wine tasted bitter all the way to the aftertaste 3. Szechuan Shrimp – not a good match. sauce & shrimp brought out the bitterness of the tannin 4. Fresh Asparagus – asparagus softened the wine which was a surprise 5. Olive & Anchovy tapenade – the already bitter tapenade brought out the bitter in the wine, not a good match 6. Milk Chocolate – wine brought out the creamy sweetness of the chocolate, yum!
