Quarts de Chaume is the name of a tiny sub-region within the confines of another sub-region of the Loire called Coteaux du Layon. This dessert wine is only made when the grapes have been affected by noble rot. This is viscous, honeyed with apricots and baked brown sugar on the palate.

Yet manages to stay fresh and focused, with a mouthwatering finish that lets the green tea and ginger notes linger. A wild wine. Drink now-2017. 25 cases.
