Food Pairings for Domaine Jean Michel Gerin Cote Rotie les Grandes Places
Jean Michel farms 1.3 hectares on the eponymous Lieu-Dit, located on the steepschistous slopes behind the hamlet of Verenay, itself a couple of kilometres tothe north of Ampuis. 100% Syrah and aged in new wood, the cuvée iscelebrated for its spicy almost earthy character. The 2006 is typicallyexpressive with violets, wood-smoke and hints of iron and leather evidenced.Should be getting into its stride after 2015 and hold for another five years orso thereafter.
