Jean Bousquet was already a successful winemaker from Carcassonne in the south of France in 1990 when he decided to relocate to Mendoza, and went on an extensive search for the ideal vineyard location. In 1997, he finally established himself in Topungato, attracted by its high altitudes (for superior grape balance), climate and rich soils. The wines are available in a line of Premium Varietals (includes Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Torrontes and a Malbec/Cab rosé), as well as Reservas, Grande Reservas and a sweet, late harvest Malbec dessert wine.  Read less

Bright, dark red. Plum, redcurrant, smoke and tobacco aromas show a distinctly Old World quality. Supple and attractively restrained, offering nuanced flavors of red berries, tobacco and smoky minerality. Finishes with smooth, broad, mouthdusting tannins and good subtle persistence.

Eye | Dark reddish purple colorNose | Intense nose of red berry fruit mixed with sweetspice.Mouth | Open-knit, elegant in style, with lots of mineral, cherry and currant fruit. Bright acidity keeps it refreshingthrough the finish. The palate is packed with ripe, concentrated fruit flavors with notes of tobacco and blackpepper. A long and structured finish with fine tannins.

Eye | Dark reddish purple color.Nose | Aromas of black currant, tobacco and leather.Palate | It shows berry fruit and spice nuances. The mid palategives way to flavors of raspberry, mineral and toast notes. Itfinishes long with fine tannins and hints of mocha. This is a veryelegant wine in style with good intensity and nice pleasant finish.
