Domaine Houchart Cotes de Provence 2009 750mlDeep ruby colour with aromas of cassis and red current, good length in the mouth with notes of plum. Excellent persistence.
Light, bright pink. High-pitched aromas of wild strawberry, jasmine and chalky minerals. A nervy citrus note underscores fresh red fruits on the palate, with subtle floral and herbal qualities adding nuance. The refreshingly brisk leaves behind a dry orange pith note. This drinks well all by itself.
The Domaine Houchart is everything a Provence rose' should be: effusively fresh, vibrantly fruity and dry, dry, dry. With a crisp, mouthwatering palate, it would make a great companion for flavorful fish dishes. Pick this one up to enjoy a bit of the South of France with dinner tonight. Imported by David Milligan Selections.

From an estate that's been in the Quiot Family since 1890, this wine is succulent in its sweet strawberry and melon flavors spiced with light pepper and herb notes. It lingers, teasingly. For a smoked-bacon BLT.
Shows a pretty salmon color, with melon and strawberry flavors. Spicy notes pervade the finish, which has good length. Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre and others. Drink now.
Bright medium pink. Musky red berries and cherry on the nose, with a light floral quality adding complexity. Spicy redcurrant and wild strawberry flavors are light in body and gently lifted by subtle minerality. An understated style, and well-suited to aperitif duty.
