Appearance: Clear, medium+ intense lemon/straw-yellow color, very viscous Nose: Clean, pronounced aromas of powdered stones (chalky,flinty/mineral), butterscotch, buttered toast, ripe yellow fruits, almost banana-like, caramel. Fruit is hidden somewhere behind the other aromas at the moment. Taste: Bone dry, acidity medium+, lemon and lime characteristics, again the mineral notes push through making this wine more angular, combined with a full body, green apples and pears, creaminess, caramel. Lots of spice (ginger- yes!) all around but especially on the very long finish. Great structure and balance, in a developing stage. Very complex. Conclusion: Wine of very good to outstanding quality, balanced, highly complex, long, multi-dimensional. Needs time to develop. Tasted on August 20th 2009
