Domaine Gresser Cremant d'Alsace Andlau NV

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

A touch funky on the nose, with some chestnut notes, yeast and a little caramel accenting the melon and pumpkin fruit. In the mouth, this is slightly coarse but wonderfully bright with acid-driven flavor of sour apple, quince and mangosteen. The finish remains bright and very clean with decent length. A touch simple in the mouth, but thoroughly enjoyable. 87pts

Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
