User Reviews for Domaine Grand Veneur Chateauneuf du Pape Vieux Terron

Winemaker's Notes:

96-99 points Rhone Report: A thrilling wine on all accounts... 50% Grenache, 40% Mourvedre, and 10% Syrah... incredibly polished and pure with knockout aromas of creamy raspberry, blackberry liqueur intermixed with graphite, mineral, licorice, cigar box, and crushed flowers. This full-bodied, powerful, and seriously structured wine is seriously concentrated and rich, yet never seems heavy or cumbersome in the least. Not for those lacking in patience and showing brilliant purity of fruit, impeccable balance, and masses of finely polished tannin, this monumental Chateauneuf-du-Pape should be given 5-7 years of bottle age, and then consumed over the following two decades. Hats off to the Jaume family for this brilliant wine. (Mar 2012)
