This smells awful, the Chrysanthemum floral character is so strong it smells like roach spray and under that is crappy green oak notes. Alot of the offending notes blow off bu this remains a struggle to smell with artificial vanilla tinged black plum fruits and oil cured sun dried tomato replacing the poison, somewhat. In the mouth this feels a bit washed out and innocuous. Front loaded with sweet fruit then floral inner mouth perfume and a soft, easy, short finish. Pleasant in the mouth but beware the nose! 78pts

Very nice wine. Regal, balanced, lovely nose and long finish.

No chaptalisation in 2002, 2003 and 2005. Matured in oak casks for between 16 and 20 months. Bottled with no fining and no filtering. Drink it with all kinds of meat and cheeses.
